Deepak Shah

Based out of Pune, over the last 30 years, Deepak has rolled out his canvas from Mumbai to Pune and all the way to Dubai! For those who
are just coming in, More Mischief is a place where the fashionisto finds
his own personal style and crafts the most beautifully put together wardrobe. From moviestars to the regular Joe; from boardroom badshahs, to grooms about to
say ‘I do!’

For our Ethnic range, we curate precise colors and patterns to create/match trends for the season. In all categories, we carry a wide range of fabric qualities from relatively basic matka and cotton silk up to luxurious suedes, lakhnavi and brocades.

His avant-garde fashion sensibilities that sets his easel apart, makes Deepak the heralder of men’s style in Pune. Deepak’s business sense combined with his love for design helped him develop fashion trends for India with CMAI (The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India), during his journey as a designer and an entrepreneur, he has been conferred numerous awards by CMAI and for the wardrobes and styling of the contestants for the prestigious Grasim Mr. India contests. He has been awarded the Best Menswear Designer “consecutively for the last 2 years by the Times of India.

Dramatic and fashionable overtures have always resonated within him. While others look at a yard of cloth in perplexity, he sees potential. He is without a shadow of a doubt, a fashion icon who took to the runway well before his time. Today, the Shah of Designs and the towering albeit soft-spoken force behind bespoke designer ensembles for gentlemen, Deepak Shah, is fêted by his peers—and the city of his heart—with the Times Man of the Year accolade.

“People age as they grow old; I grew more mischievous as I neared my milestones, personally and professionally. Pune happened and so did More Mischief, the cult bespoke store that everyone who’s anyone in this city swears by from the lace on our handmade shoes to the neatly knotted silk cravat on the neck not to mention the in-betweens whether it be ethnic ensembles or bespoke suits.”

Through his journey, he has dressed and styled movie legends like Amitabh Bachchan to true-blue style icons such as Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, Suneil Shetty, Shiamak Davar, Sandip Soparrkar, Viraf Patel, Manish Raisinghan to Industrialists and sportsmen.

“It pains me physically to see woman victimized, rendered pathetic by fashion.”

Pooja Shah Bhandari

Being the young blood in the business, Pooja has managed to combine the 30 year experience of the brand with her sense of design and style to build the perfect attires for the upcoming Millennials and Gen Z.

Having pursued her Masters in Fashion Styling & Communication from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), Milan, Italy helped her bring a certain European sartorial etiquette to More Mischief’s current offering of highly stylised and intricate ensembles.

“For me every customer is unique just like our bespoke clothing and are treated so. Be it designing for a groom or a bride or for helping an Industry stalwart pick the right bespoke suit or consulting the new age entrepreneur with the best wardrobe choices, true satisfaction and success comes from knowing a job well done and a happy customer.”

Being the Head stylist at More Mischief, she completes the More Mischief bespoke experience with personal styling and wardrobe management which is done keeping in mind the customer’s personality, body type and lifestyle.

Emphasis on clean cuts, use of unconventional colors, accessorising and overall style aesthetic have enabled her to manage wardrobes and style celebrities – Suneil Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Sandip Soparkar, Shiamak Davar, and very recently the heartthrob Tiger Shroff, to name a few. She has also has her design and editorial styling work been featured on covers of magazines like Femina and Urbane for celebrities like Rahul Bose and Vicky Kaushal to name a few.

“We are focussing this year in expanding our product lines beyond Menswear. Taking More Mischiefs philosophies of clean lines, superior fits, functionality, comfort, and individuality, we are foraying into Women’s wear as a natural extension of our business.”
